ABOUT
Pairing the meticulous dedication of an engineer's education, with a lifetime of creating art, allows Murdoch "Doc" Irwin to express his unique creative visions in an effective, powerful manner. Inspired by the graffiti's abstract letter forms and bright, vibrant colours, Murdoch aspires to share his work with the world.

EXPERIENCE
Murdoch has been creating art his entire life, he first discovered his passion for graffiti at the age of 11 during a unit in his grade 6 art class. He developed his skills on paper and canvas until he first picked up a spray paint can and painted his first mural at the age of 17.
Murdoch continues to refine his artistic skills and has worked on notable projects such as the Prolucid Technologies Games room "Playful Environment", and his own passion project "The Sketchbook Project" set to debut in February 2026.
MOTIVATION
Murdoch graduated from the University of Waterloo's Architectural Engineering program, and shortly after began working at an engineering firm. After feeling unfulfilled and experiencing burn out from his corporate position, Murdoch began working towards his goal of becoming a fulltime artist. Murdoch hopes to one day be able to travel and paint murals around the world.
